This is great, Tina!  I am glad you will be able to participate in the annual meeting (Seattle:  How convenient.)  And it's very good to hear that there is a program for state and regional officers.  I hope other WaACRAO officers will take advantage of this opportunity as well.  I assume the state/regional event is open to all WaACRAO board members?

Is there a plan to have a WaACRAO presence at the AACRAO annual conference?  A booth, presentation, or the like?  I can imagine, for instance, a presentation titled: "The WaACRAO Story:  Launching the Nation's Last State Association."  (Were we really the last state without an association?  If not, we could help the remaining states with some sort of presentation outlining what we did in founding WaACRAO.)

Folks:

On behalf of AACRAO's State and Regional Relations Committee I want to make sure that you and any officers in your association planning to attend the AACRAO annual meeting in Seattle include the State and Regional Officers Workshop in your meeting plans.  This is a free annual pre-conference workshop designed to assist state and regional leadership in managing the many issues we face as association leaders.  It will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2011, from 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM.  We're still working on the agenda, but plans now include a session on legal issues for non-profit associations, a Washington update, a session on conference session planning and, of course, plenty of time for round table discussions about critical issues that face all of us as we lead our various associations.  

This is a terrific opportunity to share information and strategies with folks from across the country and to learn many "tips of the trade."  It's open to any officers of state and regional associations - all you need to do is register for it when you register for the AACRAO conference.

I look forward to seeing many of you in Seattle in March.
