[Eng1508] An apology and a question

Comrades -
I apologize for sending out a promise of attachments and then not attaching them. They are on their way. The re-send is waiting for the moderator's (Bill's?) approval because with the attachments it is larger than the preset limit for messages.
My question, should you choose to take it up, is this:
Is there a fundamental conflict between the emergent study design concept embedded within fourth generation evaluation and the principles underlying the human subjects review forms? That is, in the process of trying to gain Institutional Review Board advance approval for a study, do the questions asked by the Board militate against emergent study design? Is this a material instantiation of the incompatibility between positivist and constructivist epistemology?
I realize this question may be unanswerable for those who haven't yet seen the questions on the form. Hopefully, that problem will be addressed shortly.
